With reference to that classic Megatokyo strip. My copy of Civ IV just got here, so I guess I’ll be seeing you guys in a couple months or so. (I haven’t forgotten about you, Laurent. Honest.)

The Ravings of Tired Rabbits

Because I woke up at noon today, having had 10 hours of sleep, and right now I’m totally exhausted. Figure that out. So I got my Praxis II English scores Saturday. 185/200 and 160/200, which is reasonable. And Western’s like “Oh, bring them up when you get them!” and I’m like “Ok.” So I do. And they’re like “Oh, did you get your letter yet?” “No, but I’ll check when I get back.” And then I get back, and it’s all like “We’re sorry, but your application has been rejected. Have a nice day.” So, yeah, that kinda sucks. What’s funny here is that my parents seemingly care more about it than I do. Maybe I’m just so tired I […]

Which it certainly was, because I stayed up until like 4:30 am to finish it. Your discerning Robert Jordan reader what hasn’t read the book yet might want to skip this one, as well as you lot what don’t read the books. Thar’s spoilers in them thar hills. You have been warned. Yes, I realize that means more or less nobody will read this ever. But it’s my blog, and I’ll rant if I want to, rant if I want to, rant if I wa…sorry. So I read the whole thing in one sitting, which is like 800 pages in hardcover. It’s been a pretty long time since I could say I’ve done that, probably as far back as 1997 […]

Modem Reset

Instead of my standard complaints about my ISP sucking the good suck, as it were, I shall instead reprise that great quote of yesteryear, which was true in that time, just as it is today: bash.org: i think in the whole sense of the “information superhighway”, my isp ended up driving a yugo down some dirt road Me: “Monroetel lives!” Clyos: “cept ours is a 80s Trans Am on cinder blocks, it doesn’t move” In other news, I have been somewhat remiss in my blogging lately, for which I have essentially no excuse. I fear you may never see the rumored bloggage of my adventures amongst the youth of today, but most anybody who cares has heard what there is […]

Musical Doubletakes

For the BT fans among you, I just had to write down every single warship and aerospace fighter in Clan Snow Raven. Let me assure you that there are a lot of them. It took me all day. Some people need to think a LOT harder before writing rules, let us say. Anyway. So, in previous episodes, we have learned that Our Hero, whilest semi-gainfully employed at the library, can pull things off the shelf and check them out. In this week’s episode, we note that Our Hero can do this with CDs, whereupon he returns to Monroe with a Donnas CD, a Kings of Leon CD, and a 4 disc Ozzy Osbourne set. Thus further leads Our Hero to […]
